ACR-ASTRO Accreditation

Northeast Indiana’s Only ACR-ASTRO Accredited Radiation Oncology Center

Radiation Oncology Associates is proud to announce that Southwest Radiation Oncology Center in Fort Wayne is now accredited with the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO). As a result, Southwest Radiation Oncology Center is the only ACR-ASTRO accredited radiation oncology treatment facility in Fort Wayne and the only ACR-ASTRO accredited radiation oncology treatment facility in Northeast Indiana.

From a treatment perspective, ACR-ASTRO accreditation represents the highest level of quality cancer care and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting specific practice guidelines and technical standards developed by ACR and ASTRO. Furthermore, every aspect of the ACR-ASTRO accreditation process is overseen by board-certified, expert radiation oncologists and medical physicists.
