Dr. John Crawford co-founded Radiation Oncology Associates in 1983, after serving as Chief Resident in Radiation Oncology at the Medical College of Virginia and practicing with Fort Wayne Radiology from 1976 to 1983. Dr. Crawford takes a special interest in intraoperative radiotherapy, intracavity brachytherapy, and combined modality radiation-chemotherapy treatments. Dr. Crawford received his fellowship from the American College of Radiology in 1996, and he is pleased to be a part of what he deems a dynamic field that combines high technology with high-touch. Dr. Crawford finds the intense doctor-patient relationship rewarding, and he also enjoys the high tech aspects of the job. He participates regularly in continuing education on the latest in diagnostic and treatment methods. Dr. Crawford is currently working on protocols for various malignancies through cooperative research efforts with local medical oncologists. Dr. Crawford has contributed to the community personally by serving for 12 years on Fort Wayne City Council. He enjoys tennis in his leisure time.
